OVER the portal of the cathedral Santa Fe, N. M., the letters J-H-V are carved, there by Abraham Staab, pioneer merchant. Staab had lent Archbishop Lamy Willa Cather's "Death Comes to the Archbishop" a good deal of money from time toward building the cathedral. Lamy came to borrow more, Staab tear up the existing notes on one condition: That he be allowed to chisel one above the door. "And what is the word?" asked the Archbishop. "You must trust me." said the merchant. Lamy did. J-H-V is an abbreviation Jehovah, God of both Jew and Christian. THE JETS are sweeping the air and them are powered with Pratt & Whitney engines. Frederick W. Rentschler, a winter resident of Boca Raton since 1933, picked bankrupt Pratt & Whitney for $235 in 1920s and ran this up to $35,000,000 by 1929. This was his own testimony before Senate Air Mail investigating committee 1933. He exchanged Pratt & Whitney stock in the new United Aircraft and Transport held too
