Police Say i ailed Youth Is Killer CHICAGO tUPI Barry Cook, husky Chicago youth sentenced to Joliet Penitentiary earlier this year for assault, has admitted the "Spyglass of Margaret Gallagher, 50, in a Chicago park more than two years ago, police announced today. Cook made a six-page statement which he refused to sign after two hours of Questioning at Joliet by chief of detectives Pat Deeley, Bgt.

Charles. Fitzgerald, and others, Deeley said. Cook said he killed the woman with an iron bar he found near the scene of her death, pulled her into nearby bushes, stripped her body, and fled, Deeley said. The slaying occurred on a Sunday, and watched through binoculars from nearly a mile and a half away by Arthur Besley, dwelling in a lofty lake front apartment: By the time he could direct police to the scene, the killer had disappeared. Besley and others who were near the scene gave police a description of the killer as a tall and husky young man. A 22-year-old housewife was found stabbed to death in her apartment yesterday, and police arrested her husband for Questioning early today. His wife, Carole, 22, was found yesterday by a landlord who noticed the Kramers hadn't retrieved newspapers in several days. Mrs. Kra mer, eight months pregnant, was lying on a bed. Her body was covered with a sheet. A search for the 6-foot-7, 220-pound Kramer began immediately and he was spotted yesterday in Evanston.

Wyo. Police said he came back to Utah last night. The murdered woman was the daughter of Mr. andMrs. Russell B.

Lamountaine of Sarasota, Fla. She and Kramer had been married about eight months.
