Krasna, also a noted playwright, died last Thursday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but his death was not disclosed until this week. Krasna was a journalist on the old New York World and writing a column for a film trade paper when he joined Warner Bros, as a publicist. After his second play, Small Miracles, had a lengthy run on Broadway in 1934, he was hired by Columbia. He next moved to MGM where he worked as a writer-producer. His first movie there was The Big City, with Spencer Tracy and Luise Rainer. After building more credits at MGM he moved to RKO where he wrote Bachelor Mother for Ginger Rogers and David Niven.
