Business Expo hopes to offer capital gains Small-business owners to seek out loan sources at Business Financing Expo II 1 "1 and chief operating officer of Delray Beach-based Office Depot. Registration fees are due by Monday, Aug. 22, but people can register the day of the expo for $90. Florida Atlantic University's Small Business Development Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration are sponsoring the event.

"It's not really like a trade show. It's more of a networking day," said Rona Helman, the expo's coordinator. "The idea is to establish a rapport with a representative or several of them from finance corporations." Helman said the expo will provide a personal setting for businesses to meet one another.

"At other trade shows, you say hello and you keep moving, but we want people to know what avenues are available to them and which are not," she said. The expo costs $79 a person, which includes continental breakfast, lunch, seminars and materials.
