PN Sunday, December 9, 2007 SOUTH FLORIDA 9B I OBITUARIES Palm Beach County Bornstein Bornstein, Mary 94, of Boca Raton passed on Friday, December 7, 2007. Mary was born on May 25, 1913, formerly of West Orange, NJ; she moved to Boca Raton in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin. Mary is survived by two loving daughters, Judy Frankel of Boca Raton and Debbie (Bill) Hummer of Boca Raton; two devoted sons, Matthew (Peggy) Bornstein of Bradenton, FL and Barton (Jane) Bornstein of Livingston, NJ; and nine beloved grandchildren: Patti Conway, Robert Frankel, Adam Beighley, Kristi Paul, Russell Bornstein, Jeffrey Bornstein, Missy Pottorff, Justin Bornstein, Jennifer Bornstein and eight great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday, December 10 at Babione Funeral Home (east chapel 561-395-8787).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 10 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Committal prayers will follow at Boca Raton Mausoleum. Cassidy Cassidy, Henrietta Allison, 85, of Boca Raton, FL died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. Henrietta was born in DeLand, FL, raised in Plant City, and then resided in Miami.

She moved to Atlanta, GA, before settling in Boca Raton in 1970. She worked for Southern Bell as an Operator during WWII, met her husband, Frederick Sherwood Cassidy, to whom she was married for 57 years at his death in 2005. After raising her son, she worked for the First National Bank and then was a Real Estate Sales Broker for over 25 years in Boca Raton. She is survived by her devoted son Frederick Allison Cassidy of Atlanta, GA; grandsons Jason Frederick (Lisa) of Easley, SC; Christopher Allison (Rhonda) of Raleigh, NC; and Eric Alexander (Suzanne) of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter Mary Jayne Cassidy currently in The Peace Corps in Ghana, Africa; great-grandchildren: Miller Alexander, Maxwell Sherwood, Madison Lynne, and Preston Christopher. The family will be receiving friends today, Sunday, December 9, 2007 at at Babione Funeral Home (561-395-8787), followed by a service in celebration of her life.

Final services will take place in Dexter, NY with burial in the family plot. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. She was the daughter of Adrian and Sadye Goldstein of Providence, RI. She also leaves adoring children Larry, Rachel, Laura (Butcher), son-in-law Robert, as well as grandsons Logan Aaron and Kyle Jesse, who will always affectionately remember her as Bubbie. She is deeply embraced in the hearts of her extended family and dear, devoted friends. Following Nursing School, work in a dental practice, and her marriage, Jessie served as executive secretary for synagogues near her home in Cranbury, NJ. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah.

Jessie met the challenges in her life with extraordinary strength and spirit. She will forever be honored in the hearts of those who were happy to be a part of her life. Gary Panoch Funeral Home Cremations, Boca Rice Rice, Carolyn, 66, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on December 3, Roach Roach, James 80, of Wellington, FL and Buffalo, NY passed on Dec. 5, 2007. Born Feb. 2, 1927, in Ames, lowa, to James and Anna Roach, as a young boy he helped support his family selling corsages in speakeasies. A Navy veteran of World War I1, he served as a gunner's mate on the destroyer USS Grayson in the Pacific, then spent decades building houses in Buffalo and Wellington.

For many years, he trained and bred thoroughbreds in Ontario. Quiet, proud, and unassuming, he was the life of the party, drawing crowds to listen to stories of his life. Surviving are his wife, the former Helene Lisa Steele; daughter Diane K. Shaw and son James from his first marriage to the late Alice Steger; daughter-in-law Chris; six grandchildren: Daniel, Teresa, Jennifer, Jamie, Hilary, and Samantha; and five greatgrandchildren: Chase, Sonia, James, Melaina, and Brittany. Formerly of Cleveland, OH Mr. Squires has been a resident of Florida for over 35 years. He graduated from Ohio State University thinking he wanted to be a journalist but joined the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served as Second Lieutenant in the Pacific which nurtured his lifelong love of flying. He was the beloved brother of Jerome with whom he shared virtually everything in life until his premature death 45 years ago.

Together they built a construction business and shared their family lives. He took his brother's family as if they were his own. Eugene had celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (nee Jay) Squires; daughter, Debbie Goeble; sons, Herbert and Eugene, Jr. (Kirsten); grandchildren, Jason Goeble, Jaimie Goeble, Sunshine Squires, and Benjamin (Kerstin) Squires; nephews, Jeffrey (Alejandra) and Gregory (Margo) and their children, Erin, Ian, Alec and Samantha; loving caregiver Sydna.

Scarano Hollywood Memorial Costello Costello, Thomas 70, of Sunrise, FL died tragically from an auto accident on Dec. 7, 2007. After graduating from Red Bank Catholic H.S., Red Bank, NJ he served in the U.S.

Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Beatrice and a brother Francis. Don served in the U.S.

Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Boxer. He was a firefighter for the Akron Ohio Fire Department. Don served the city of Fort Lauderdale for 33 years before retiring in 1990. He was a Fort Lauderdale Police Officer Badge later becoming the Court Clerk of the Municipal Courts and finally as the Court Liasion Supervisor fof the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Don has been a Master Mason for 52 years and a member of Doric Lodge.

He was a member of Mahi Shrine Temple and Past President 1976 of the Fort Lauderdale Shrine Club. Don was a member of the American Legion Post in Oakland Park. Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel, Deerfield Fontaine Fontaine, Paul 69, of Greenfield, MA passed away Sunday November 25, 2007 at Poet's Seat Health Care Center following a brief courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Montague City on May 12,1938, the son of Louis and Rhea (Cadorette) Fontaine. He attended Holy Trinity School and graduated fron Greenfield High School in 1956.

At an early age, he lived with Bud and June Foster in Bernardston and considered that home. He worked for the Foster' Super Market for many years. Paul served in the U.S. Army and studied to be a dental technician and attained the rank of specialist 4th class. Upon his honorable discharge from service, he went to Florida and was offered a management position with McCory's and then joined Grant's.

Also, he managed the Elks Club in Homestead, FL for many years. Then in 1992 he moved to Prescott, AZ and owned and operated a courier service until retirement. He summered in Bernardston and spent winters in Phoenix, AZ. Paul was a life member of the Montague Lodge of Elks. He loved sports especially the Boston Red Soxs and Phoenix Suns and also loved to play cribbage.

Survivors include two daughters, Cherie Fontaine-Friscia and her husband, Patrick of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Michelle Fontaine-Levin of London, England and three grandsons, Ryan, Dylan and Justin Levin all of London, England. Also, he is survived by former wife and friends, Carol Hoey Fontaine of Ft. Lauderdale, FL mother of Cherie and Michelle; a niece, Dr. Michelle Brown and her husband, Dr.

Glenn Paige of Hickory, NC; a nephew, Gary Brown and his wife, Serena of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and several cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Joan (Fontaine) Brown, and a brother-in-law, Leroy Brown. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield, MA with Rev.
