PS: Don't Fall in The Pool Kiriazis Kiriazis, Anastasia "Tessie 84, Hollywood, FL, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2010. She was born Anastasia Bonos in Sparta, Greece, June 15, 1925. She traveled to Toronto Canada in 1958 for a new and better life.

There she met the love of her life, Michael Kiriazis. They married in 1962. A year later, their only child, Danny, was born. They moved to Hollywood Florida in 1968, where they settled. Mike and Tessie bought a restaurant in Downtown Hollywood called Sig's in 1970 at 1901 Hollywood Blvd.

It is now the patio area of the Whisky Tango Bar. They had to move out a few years later since the bank would not renew their lease. Mike and Tessie bought the ice cream shop across the street at 1902 Hollywood Blvd. and transformed it into a restaurant. Mike's RestaurantWaffles and Ice Cream was born.

It is now the Beef Eater Steak House. Mike and Tessie worked long hours and built a respected reputation, and not just locally. Many visitors to S. Florida often made it a point to return to the small' diner they once ate at to have another meal. In 1974, they were part of the original founding families that started the St.

George Greek Orthodox Church in Hollywood. The founding' members used to meet at the restaurant to discuss plans on how to make the small motel into a church. As the years passed, one of the many things Mike and Tessie were known for was their donation of all the eggs for the yearly Easter celebration at the church. During this time of year Tessie would also bake dozens of Greek pastries and hand them out to her customers at the restaurant. She would bake the most delicious authentic Greek food during the holidays for family dinners.

Mike and Tessie retired in 1987 and never worked another day in their lives. They enjoyed retirement by working around the house, visiting friends locally and traveling back to Toronto and Greece. Mike died of Cancer in 2005 and Tessie was grief stricken for years until Terminal Dementia took its toll and robbed us of her light. She will be missed dearly by both family and friends. Tessie is survived by her son Danny Kiriazis.

Born on January 14, 1923 in Aldergrove, B.C. Allan enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and became a skilled pilot and the Canadian Army as a Dispatch Rider through the end of World War II. Upon returning home he attended Biola Bible Institute in Los Angeles California, where his overwhelming desire to share God's message, invoked him to travel the country on his Harley Davidson motorcycle as "The Chaplain to the Motorcycle Riders." Allan brought a message, The Gospel. The knowledge of eternity through the Word of God, the true meaning of love and the joy that gives us strength to face this troubled world and times. Allan's journey took him from coast to coast for 15 years.

After settling in Florida in 1955 he was employed as head mechanic and shop foreman for Powermix Industries of Pompano Beach for 25 years. Predeceased are his "Dear Sweet Louise" of 40 years and sister, Jean (Reid) of California. Surviving are his four devoted sons, Mark (Mary), Timothy and David of Fort Lauderdale, Paul (Elaine) and two grandsons, Luke Allan and Jonathan Paul of Jupiter, Florida; a loving sister, Anne McCutcheon of New Westminster, B.C, Many loving nieces, nephews, family and dear friends through out the country.
